We got a sea view room. Typical premier inn accommodation. Comfy big bed, and a good night's sleep in a basic room. Easily booked in advance knowing we needed accommodation in Dundee center across the road from the rail way station and easy access to busses.

Recently stayed in Premier inn Dundee central hotel with my girlfriend. Our opinion of this hotel is average in short, there really wasn't anything which wowed us to ensure we would pick this hotel over another in the future. Parking at the hotel you need to pay for charged at £7 a night isn't terrible, but another cost. We stayed one night Saturday 9th of November and there was enough parking which was fairly simple to do and got a confirmation ticket to my phone. Check in was fairly quick, the self check in wasn't working during our stay, but that didn't really create an issue. Rooms were as you'd expect, clean with a nice comfy bed and good noise isolation especially as 300 odd rooms and a city centre location we both slept well though think they should replace some of the pillows in the bed, not sure if this was just our room (302) We had a breakfast pre paid and we decided to eat in the restaurant as we were heading out to a calidh. The food in the evening was alright though a bit pricy for what it was and the variety of eating options was pretty poor. Breakfast was alright was buffet. Food was in smaller trays so got replaced more regularly though we prefer the premier inn hotels that you get your breakfast cooked to order. Now the fact I had to point out to the staff at breakfast there was some yogurts past their date wasn't particularly good, worse still having unlimited tea and coffee is good if you like either those options, but to get told hot chocolate is an extra cost I find ridiculous.

Beware the twin rooms that aren't! Stay in Premier Inns regularly, so was quite excited that this one was now offering 'proper' twin rooms, not just a double and sofa bed. Having booked one of these, and even phoned up the day before to check it was a proper twin, we arrived to find we had a double and sofa bed. Staff couldn't move us as all the twins were apparently taken. Really annoying when we've shared the cost of the room and one person ends up on the sofa without even a reading light. Even more ironic that they keep advertising their 'twin' rooms to me. Also were having issues with their machine so our key cards stopped working multiple times. But staff were lovely and the location is good.

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting Dundee. Staff were polite and helpful on check in and when asked about restaurant next door and parking. Parking is £7 for the night. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel is in walking distance to city centre and shops, about 15 mins. Beefeater is worth a visit, standard food but was quick, tasty and staff were attentive. Had evening meal and breakfast in the morning. Handy location for a walk along the Tay and to visit the Discovery Museum next door

The receptionist wasn't very warming when we arrived. We hardly slept with the noise from aircon

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, reception was excellent and very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy with a view overlooking the river. Meals were catered for by the neighbouring Beefeater which were delicious and served by friendly and efficient staff. This hotel is close to many tourist attractions and the city centre including the train station, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this establishment.

Typical Premier Inn. Comfortable and clean basic room. Had a good sleep and was quiet. This particular one is really nicely located on the Tay with stunning views over the estuary. Couple of bits. We had real trouble at check in. I’m not sure what was going on but they tried no fewer than about 100 key card before one would work. After a 8 hours travelling to get there and a huge queue building up, it just was a bit chaotic and took ages when I needed a rest. Secondly the free WiFi is deliberately throttled to 1Mbps which in this day and age is absolutely useless so don’t even bother.

Lovely view from our room and the staff have been so friendly. Morgan helped us out loads and was so great to us. Would recommend!

It doesn't matter how far in advance you book, you have pot luck about room allocation, apparently. River view rooms are the best and the person on reception has always, 'just allocated the last one'. Hmmm. Chinny.

It's exactly the same as every other Premier Inn, so you know what you're getting, but at £122 for a night it's a bit steep. If I had spent more than an hour conscious in the room I probably would have booked the Hilton for £15 more.

If you're in Dundee, this is the place to stay. Great location. The hotel staff and pub staff are as friendly as you're ever going to get. Stayed for the women's open at St Andrews, and I'll be booking with the wife again to explore more of Dundee.. fully recommend 👌

Brilliant location. Service absymal. They save money by not service one's room if staying for more than one night. Unless requested but still charge £130 per night! And they don't clean and make up the room even when requested, twice. Asking the night before it was too early apparently. So I asked first thing in the morning but still they did not make my room up - must have lost the scrap of paper on which they noted my room number. When I got back and asked why they had not they said hard luck as housekeepers were no longer available. It took a lot of persistence before the front desk person agreed to straighten the bed and leave me some clean towels whilst I went out for dinner. Perghaps I am being too fussy expecting £130 to buy me a decent room and good service. Premier inn used to be good, not any more.

Amazing location right next to the V&A gallery. If you get lucky with your room you get a view over the river (almost like you're in a cruise ship cabin!). Friendly helpful staff. Adds up to a great stay.

Stayed here in mid-July with my two boys - 10 and 11. Others have stated the fantastic location and they are not wrong. We didn't ask for a specific room i.e. the Tay view!, so we got the car park (and a sliver of river if you strained your neck!) but to be fair, the cleanliness of the room was more important to me. I asked for an extra pillow (there were already the usual two spare in the room) and this was duly hand-delivered to the room about an hour later so extra credit to the staff for that 🙂 Room temperature was spot on, despite it being a warm and humid day (by Dundee standards, that is). Breakfast was something I always look forward to at the PI and it duly delivered. Kids eat free deal is not to be sniffed at either. At the end of the stay, we crossed the road and were in the railway station. Easy.
